Hi, I’m Colin - a BACP-registered counsellor working online with clients across the UK. I bring over 4,000 hours of clinical counselling and mentoring experience to support meaningful and lasting change.
At CMCTalk, I offer counselling, mentoring, and coaching to help you navigate your journey toward growth, purpose, and fulfilment. Together, we’ll work to unlock your potential and create real transformation in your life.
Real change starts from within.
If you’re ready to take that first step, I’m here to support you.

Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, loss, relationship challenges, financial worries, fear of the future, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I offer a calm and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
In our work together, we will gently explore the experiences, patterns, and beliefs that may be shaping how you relate to yourself and the world around you. Through careful reflection and open conversation, deeper understanding can begin to emerge.
As we explore your inner world, it often becomes possible to recognise self-critical or limiting ways of thinking, and to loosen the hold they may have developed over time. This process can help reduce anxiety, strengthen self-acceptance, and support a more grounded sense of who you are.
From this place of greater awareness, many people find a growing sense of clarity, emotional balance, and authenticity - allowing them to move forward in ways that feel more meaningful and aligned with their values.

A Deeper Level of Therapeutic Exploration
I offer a space to explore the possibility of living with greater clarity, calm, and self-acceptance - meeting life as it unfolds with openness rather than fear, and rediscovering the quiet sense of being fully alive.
Much of our emotional suffering develops through the personal “story” we carry about who we are - shaped over time by experiences, relationships, and learned ways of thinking. These patterns often draw us into the past through regret or into the future through worry, creating anxiety and inner conflict.
Through gentle self-enquiry and reflective conversation, we begin to notice these patterns more clearly. Rather than trying to force change, the process is about understanding how your thoughts and beliefs operate, and how they influence your emotional world. As awareness grows, many people find that self-critical or fear-based patterns begin to loosen naturally.
Beneath these layers, there is often a steadier and more grounded sense of self - less driven by external expectations and more connected to what feels authentic and meaningful. From this place, decisions can feel clearer and life can feel less overwhelming.
Our work may include guided self-reflection practices that help you observe your thinking with greater clarity. This is not about searching for answers outside yourself, but about developing a deeper understanding of your own inner experience.
Much of the distress people experience is psychological in nature - arising from how we interpret events, imagine future outcomes, or revisit past experiences. When we begin to relate differently to our thoughts, it can reduce anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional pressure.
This process does not remove life’s challenges, but it can change how you experience them - bringing greater resilience, perspective, and emotional balance.
Where difficulties relate to physical or medical concerns, appropriate practical or medical support remains important. Counselling works alongside these realities, helping you respond to them with greater psychological understanding and care.
In my practice, I bring together the heart of counselling, mentoring, and coaching, alongside insights drawn from reflective and contemplative traditions from around the world. This integrative approach can support many people, and often resonates most with those who are curious, open to new perspectives, and willing to explore their inner experience more deeply.
Through our work together, you can develop a clearer understanding of yourself - your strengths, your challenges, and the patterns that may be shaping your life. Along the way, we may also explore practical ways of responding differently to difficulties, helping you carry greater awareness and resilience beyond our sessions.

I offer support for a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, financial worries, fear of the future, bereavement, life transitions, self-esteem, emotional distress, complex trauma, and relationship challenges.
Sessions are offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, with payment requested in advance (ideally the morning of your session).
Please see the fees page for details of my cancellation policy.
Online sessions are 60 minutes in length and typically take place weekly.
If something here resonates with you, you’re warmly invited to get in touch.
We can arrange an initial session or a brief consultation to explore whether this feels like the right space for you.
I am licensed to practise as a counsellor in the UK and also offer mentoring and coaching services. For clients based outside the UK, mentoring and coaching are available, but counselling is not provided due to licensing restrictions.
